Netbook stand that doubles as dock

by John Hobbes , posted 05/1/09 7:42 AM

Century netbook stand

Century, a tech company based in Japan, has come up with a stand designed for netbooks that incorporates an optical drive, an internal 2.5-inch SATA drive, and even two USB ports. Add in your own 2.5-inch SATA disk drive, whether it be magnetic or solid state, and you have yourself a perfect netbook docking station. You could set the machine to backup straight to that drive, you have a handy-dandy DVD burner, and even leave your keyboard & mouse hooked up to the “stand” as well. It is priced around $100 in Japan, but if you want to purchase it outside of Japan hit the link below for some tips on places to shop for it.

  1. This accessory seems to be very nice. According to this idea I have bought another model because this one wasn’t available in Germany.
    Thank you for the hint.
