Lenovo has launched a giveaway/instant win game aimed at students for the back to school season. You can win about $5000 worth of gadgets to stock the dorm room, or whatever room you want as long as you’re a U.S. resident over 16 years old.

They sure are getting their marketing dollars out of this one. Once you register your information, you have to click through “hidden” objects in a virtual dorm room filled with helpful information on stocking up for the school year (Buy Lenovo!). Then you are given a personality quiz of some type which almost made my eyes water and after it told me my personality was suited for an IdeaPad Y650 (they’re actually right – I love that machine), I got to play a hidden squares matching game. I don’t think you can lose this game, but even though I clearly had the 4th grade intellect required to beat the game, I wasn’t an instant winner.

Fear not devoted free-stuff-seekers, you can play the game every day. You can also “tell a friend” and if one of them comes and plays, you get another free entry.
