Considering that Lenovo is an international corporation, Wake Forest is relatively close to the Morrisville HQ. You are absolutely right, UNC and NCSU are closer by a few dozen miles. On a global scale, they might as well sit right next to each other. Also true, Wake Forest was primarily liberal arts-based, but considering the implementation of technology in their campus and student body, they are and have been one of the more progressive universities. Sure there are others that are more committed and have been for longer, but many more don't come close to WFU today. It's all relative :)

run buh – thanks for the comment. Wake Forest is at least a 90 minute drive.Note sure who wrote the entry above, but Wake Forest has not "always been progressive" with technology. Even Wake's press release calls it a "long-standing commitment". When I attended Wake in the 80's (when they should have already been promoting technology), they did not even have a Computer Science major.

Uh – Morrisville is in the heart of the Research Triangle Park, which makes it “very near” (less than 15 miles from) UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, and Puke campuses.
