ThinkPad battery (not Lenovo F41)

More than 200 owners of Lenovo’s F41 laptop, sold in the China market, are demanding to have their failing batteries replaced.

Approximately 270 people are participating in an online forum and complaining of batteries that lose power in only 20 minutes. Most of the Lenovo F41 laptops in question were purchased after March 2008 and the affected batteries seem to be limited to Sony modules.

A Lenovo spokesperson told the Beijing Times that they are investigating and have sent two batteries to Sony for testing.

Considering the volume of these notebooks that were likely sold, having been on the market since mid-2007, this is like a relatively limited issue, but still one that is important to owners of this machine. I know I would be upset if my battery became useless in a year and a half.

That looks just like my 15″ T61 battery. I wonder if it is the same.
