Those enterprising Lenovo engineers over at the Yamato Thinking blog are at it again and this time they want your help.
They are looking into a feature of the recently introduced ThinkVantage Communications Utility, accessed via Fn+F6 on newer ThinkPads, that would automatically lower the microphone volume when you are typing, to reduce unwanted feedback for your listeners.
This beta version seems to only have a manual reduction in volume at the moment, but they are looking for people to try out the utility and report back on what volume level offers the best experience.
Hit the source link for all the details and to download the beta software.
