Today’s deal of the day is Lenovo’s IdeaPad S10-3t convertible touchscreen netbook. A rather unique netbook in its own right, the S10-3t combines the usual 10.1-inch netbook with a touchscreen convertible chassis. For a limited time, you can get a $100 coupon that brings the price down to only $499.
The coupon is only good on the higher end model, which adds a number of nice additions over the base models. You get the faster 1.83GHz Atom processor, 2GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium. Win7 Home is actually pretty much a necessity for a touch screen, making this the only reasonable model that Lenovo sells. Unfortunately all the models only come with a 4-cell battery, so you’ll want to pick up an 8-cell at a later date.
This deal expires August 2nd or after 300 units are sold.

Does this model come available with the TPM chip? And if not, are there plans to incorporate the TPM chip into the tablets? With more and more hospitals, nurses and doctors using tablets these days, I can’t seem to figure out why it is so difficult to find a tablet PC with TPM capabilities.
