Today’s deal of the day is on Lenovo’s robust mobile workstation, the ThinkPad W510. The higher discounts on these models are more rare, so this 15% off is a very good deal and brings the entry price for the W510 down to $1359.

Although the W510 is based on the T510′s chassis, this mobile workstation comes with a number of standard goodies, as well as some slick optional bits too. Out of the box you get a quad core Core i7 processor, fingerprint reader, 7200rpm hard drive, DVD burner, 9-cell battery, upgradeable WWAN and NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M 1GB graphics on every model.

For the more demanding, and more well loaded, among us, you can step up to the ridiculous Core i7-920XM processor (+$750), 16GB DDR3 RAM (+$5,150) or the 128GB SSD (+$280). Some other less pricey and (in my opinion) must-have options include an integrated color calibration sensor (+$70) and the amazing Full HD, 95% color gamut display (+$250).

We really liked the W510 in our review, although the battery life was far from impressive and the requisite 130W power adapter was a bit of a drag.
