A new 15.6-inch version of Lenovo’s IdeaPad V Series notebooks has shown up at Best Buy, well equipped and sporting WiMax wireless technology for only $549.
Larger brother to the V360 and V460 announced at CES 2010, the V560 sports a 15.6-inch HD LCD screen, Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM, and 500GB hard drive. Integrated graphics are the only choice here, but those will help eek every mWhr out of the 6-cell battery.
The highlight at this price point is that you also get Intel’s latest wireless card, complete with WiMax support. For those living in WiMax coverage areas, this is likely the least expensive laptop with integrated WiMax. Of course, you can add it as an option on most ThinkPads for around $50.
