Hard Drive Installation Instructions
You must reuse the bracket from the old hard drive!
Replacing the hard drive is NOT easy in this notebook!
1) Turn the notebook upside-down.
2) Remove the battery pack.
3) Remove the 8 Phillips screws on the bottom half of the
notebook.
4) Turn the notebook right-side-up.
5) Raise the LCD.
6) Remove the top half completely off of the notebook.
7) Remove the 3 keyboard cables from the motherboard and set the
top half of the notebook aside.
8) Remove the top Phillips screw from behind the LCD right hinge.
9) Remove the Phillips screw that is located above the parallel
port.
10) Remove the CD/Floppy disk and flip it out of the way (you
don't have to remove its cables).
11) Slide the hard drive out of the notebook.
12) Remove the bracket from the old hard drive and install it
onto the new hard drive.
13) Slide the new hard drive into the notebook, making sure that
it is firmly connected.
14) Replace the CD/Floppy disk.
15) Replace the Phillips screws that were removed in STEP# 9 and
STEP# 8.
16) Take the top half of the notebook and replace its 3 keybaord
cables to the motherboard.
17) Snap the top half of the notebook down and make sure that it
is firmly in place.
18) Close the LCD.
19) Turn the notebook upside-down.
20) Replace the 8 Phillips screws that were removed in STEP# 3.
21) Replace the battery pack.
