Bill Morrow started ThinkPads.com when IBM had an open forum on CompuServe.

IBM later shut their forum down so Bill Morrow opened his using WebBoard 4.

Sometime in 2002, it was converted to phpBB 2.0 and recently, it updated to phpBB 3.1.

Currently there are more than 44,870 members, 628,881 posts, and 94,406 topics.
