Just the other day we brought you a great deal on a massive 256GB SSD and today we have a decent deal on the renowned Intel X25-M 2nd generation SSD. These drives are in constant demand and as such aren’t discounted often, but Best Buy is generously taking $20 off the regular price of the drive, giving you a $30 gift card for future purchases, and shipping it to you for free to boot.

The drive is back ordered at the time of this posting, but you can still check out and claim your deal for when they get restocked. We don’t know how much longer this deal will be active, so if you’ve been hankering for a top notch 2.5-inch SSD, wait no longer!

Still not sold on the benefits of SSDs, or unclear about the pro’s and con’s? Don’t miss the Intel X25-M benchmarks and SSD Anthology.

How to get the deal

  1. Click here to view & purchase the Intel X25-M SSDSA2MH080G2R5 at BestBuy.com
  2. Checkout as normal, no coupon needed. Free shipping is applied automatically and the gift card automatically ships separately.

YATD (Yet Another Tech Deal): $200 off Crucial 256GB 2.5-inch SSD

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

This has to be a record number of tech deals in recent days, but we just share them as they come across our inbox. :) Today we bring you a 2.5-inch 256GB Crucial SSD that normally retails for $599, but for a limited time has a $200 coupon attached to it.

While the Crucial M225 SSD isn’t the fastest out there, it uses an Indilinx controller that has is tried and true. With SSDs, the controller makes or breaks performance and longevity. While the M225 won’t set world speed records, it is still quite a bit faster than a standard HDD and with almost twice the capacity of the 160GB Intel X25-M at the same price, it’s a great bargain.

This deal expires August 17th!

How to get the deal

  1. Click here to purchase the Crucial M225 256GB SSD
  2. Apply coupon code: 200M225US

Once again we bring you a hot deal on a massive 4GB stick of DDR3 SODIMM RAM, perfect for your new (or recent) laptop. We actually have two deals, depending on your preference and needs.

The cheapest model is the lower speed DDR3-1066 for just under $91 shipped, although for another $4 you can pick up some G.SKILL DDR3-1333. Both of these modules are from NewEgg, so hit the links below if you want to pick one up.

How to get the deal

  1. Purchase the AllComponents 4GB DDR3-1066 RAM or the G.SKILL 4GB DDR3-1333 RAM

We normally bring you a computer deal of the weekend, but this one is just too hot to pass up. eTailer SuperBiz is giving us a peak at what Intel SSD prices might look like in the coming months, with a solid price drop and extra coupons that make these drives an even better value.

The 2nd gen 80GB drive normally runs $319, but SuperBiz is taking $95 off instantly with an additional $25 off coupon that brings the price to only $199 shipped. If you need more capacity, the 160GB version is down to $399 after $100 instant discount and $30 coupon.

Remember these are 2.5-inch drives, so they won’t work in systems like the ThinkPad X301, ThinkPad T400s, or ThinkPad T410s.

This deal ends TOMORROW April 18th, so if you’ve been waiting for a decent SSD, wait no longer on this one. If you’re interested to see how the Intel SSD fares in benchmarks, check out the site linked in this post.

Deal of the weekend: Lenovo Multimedia Remote with Keyboard 30% off

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Today we bring you a sweet 30% coupon for Lenovo’s Multimedia Remote with Keyboard. Unimaginative name aside, this looks like a really cool device: a small, wireless trackball + keyboard for controlling your PC from a distance.

If anyone picks one of these up and wants to write a review, we’d love to publish it on the site. I’ll even send you a little goodie as a thanks!

The coupon brings the price down to $41.99 with free shipping, but you may have to pay sales tax. This deal ends on March 9th, but may expire earlier once the coupon allotment is up.

Deal of the day: 30% off Lenovo multimedia remote-keyboard

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Today’s hot deal isn’t a PC, but a really cool accessory that is perfect for PCs with a multimedia focus.

The Lenovo Multimedia Remote with keyboard (wordy enough for ya?) has a full Qwerty keyboard, multimedia controls AND a handy trackball. As some of you may recall, I love using a PC as my media center hooked up to an HDTV. A regular wireless mouse works okay to control the PC from the couch. A wireless trackball is even better, as you don’t have to worry about what surface to use it on.

Of course just a pointing device doesn’t help with things like entering a website address or logging into Netflix. That is where this device would come in handy. As long as the trackball works smoothly and the range decent, it should be a damn near ideal solution.

This puppy normally runs $59.99, but can be had for $41.99 after a 30% off coupon. We don’t expect this to last long, so don’t hesitate if you’ve been watching this one. For what it’s worth, this price is even lower than the Lenovo EPP cost, so unless Lenovo dumps another 50% off coupon you won’t find a better price on this.

How to get the deal

  1. Click here to view the Lenovo multimedia remote and add it to your cart
  2. Apply coupon code in shopping cart with no spaces before or after: USPCF16336
