A first for Lenovo, the IdeaPad U260 features both a 12.5-inch screen (also the first in the industry) and a single-piece magnesium-alloy chassis (ala Apple’s new MacBooks). While this model won’t set any speed records with its Core i3 processor, it will be plenty fast for most users. You also get a generous 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, and surprisingly attractive mocha brown paint job.

Today’s deal of the day not be the hottest in terms of coupon amount, but is rightfully hot since you get a FREE upgrade to the slick NVIDIA Optimus graphics on Lenovo’s ThinkPad T410 and T510 laptops.

First announced for ThinkPads last October, Optimus refers to NVIDIA’s newest generation switchable graphics technology. It is the first such technology to offer truly transparent switching between the on-CPU Intel graphics and NVIDIA’s NVS 3100M discrete GPU. It will still use more power than integrated-only graphics, but is far more efficient than discrete-only or previous generation switchable graphics.

On top of the free graphics upgrade, you also get a decent 10% off coupon that brings the entry price down to $782 ($791 for T510). When you add in the $100 value ($125 on T510) of the graphics upgrade, you’ve got yourself a decent deal on some great laptops. Today’s deal of the day has a huge coupon stacked on a tiny laptop. The 11.6-inch IdeaPad U160 may only weigh 3.06 lb and measure less than an inch thick, but that didn’t stop Lenovo from stuffing a powerful Core i7 processor and a giant $450 coupon in it. Normally priced at $1049, this very limited coupon brings the total down to only $699.

While the Core i7-640UM is quite powerful with dual cores and a 1.2-2.26GHz clock speed, it will use a bit more power than its Core i3 and i5 brothers, as well as costing a bit more. You can also grab a Core i3 model for $599 or a Core i5 for $679, but there is a catch.
