In honor of our review of Lenovo’s ThinkPad X201, today’s deal of the day is a 10% off coupon for the X201 that brings the starting price down to $989 with a Core i5 chip or only $899 with a Core i3. Lenovo sometimes offers a 15% off coupon for the X Series, and once or twice a year there is a 20% off coupon, but if you don’t have time to wait, then this is the deal for you.

You can choose from the X201i, with its lower cost Core i3 processor, or the regular X201 with the full gamut of configuration options between the two of them. You can also choose a “Quick Ship” model which is pre-built and ships within 4 days, compared to 15 days for a custom built model. The Quick Ship model is actually spec’d just like our review unit and prices out at $1340 after coupon.

Whichever model you end up with, you’ll definitely want to spring for the 6-cell or 9-cell battery. Runtime was sufficient with the 6-cell in our review unit and we wouldn’t have minded the extra weight and size of the 9-cell for 50% longer runtime.

It’s baaacckkkk: Lenovo’s IdeaPad Y560 Loaded to the gills with power has a whopping $600 taken off its price tag, making for a $999 beastly laptop.

The quad-core processor, ATI Radeon 1GB graphics, 8GB RAM and 7200rpm hard drive make for an immensely powerful laptop at this price point. The biggest caveat here is that battery life will be shorter than AMD’s dominance in the mobile CPU market.

Today’s deal is one we haven’t featured here in a while, which is a shame considering how much I love this model! Lenovo’s thin & light ThinkPad T410s has a 15% off coupon that brings the starting price down to $1189.

The T410s seems to have it all in one package: decent 14.1-inch WXGA+ display, thin & light chassis, strong performance and optional switchable graphics. I absolutely loved the ThinkPad T400s when I reviewed it, and the only changes to the T410s were the processors and graphics. The overall balance and utility of a thin, light, robust 14.1-inch notebook is still there.

Now is your chance to grab one of these starting at $1189, though replacing the 1.8-inch HDD with an SSD or opting for the switchable graphics of course bring your cost up. The $1359 model with an Intel 80GB SSD is a good choice, or you could always add your own after the fact!

This weekend’s deal is one of Lenovo’s biggest bargains, their G455 notebook that packs a 14-inch screen, dual core AMD chip and ATI graphics for only $449 after a $200 stackable coupon.

Lenovo’s G Series is their value-line, so while there won’t be any standout features or design, its technology and features are quite impressive for the price. This particular configuration has AMD’s Athlon II X2 dual core M320 2.1GHz processor, which alone is a good CPU for a $449 machine. The rest of the specs are below, which I think you’ll agree are rather impressive for near netbook prices.

Lenovo sure does have a ton of different IdeaPad laptops, with some of the newest being the Z Series. For a limited time, Lenovo is offering $200 off the 15.6-inch Z560 and $150 off the 13.3-inch Z360. This brings the starting prices down to $699 and $649 for the Z560 and Z360, respectively.

The Z Series looks to bring a competitive set of features with a more sophisticated design than the Y or U Series, not that that makes it particularly different. You do get the 2010 Intel Core processors with a choice of integrated or discrete graphics in a slick chassis for well under a grand, making them a surprising value. They aren’t the thinnest or lightest out there, but hopefully we will get some in the labs soon to bring you the real scoop.

Lenovo ThinkPad X300 compared to W700, to scale

This is an unusually large coupon on an unusually large laptop, making for a great deal for those that need such a beast! The 20% off coupon and $420 instant savings bring the starting price of the Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds down to $2639, from a massive $3719 base price!

If you aren’t familiar with The Beast (aka ThinkPad W701ds), it is quite possible the most extreme mobile workstation out there. Quad core processors, 16GB max RAM, and 100% color gamut displays may not seem like much these days. But when you add in dual hard drives, color calibrator, palm rest digitizer, AND a second display integrated into the laptop, the W701ds gets pretty amazing. (All of these options are available on the W701, except the dual screen)

Considering that an NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M graphics chip, quad core processor and 100% color gamut WUXGA LCD are standard on the W701ds, I would say you actually get quite the value. That is assuming you need a super-monster mobile powerhouse like this beast, which has a special 135W power adapter and will suck juice out of the standard 9-cell battery like a Hummer does 93 octane.

It’s that time again and Lenovo is running another blow out of their ultraslim, ultraloaded ThinkPad X301 notebooks. Normally priced at $2991, Lenovo is taking off $642 instantly and for a limited time is offering an $1100 stackable coupon. This brings the entry price for this super-thin 13.3-inch down to $1249!

Unlike the last time Lenovo ran this deal, this model comes standard with the 64GB SSD rather than the 128GB. However you still get 4GB RAM and the larger 6-cell battery, so at $1249 this is still a steal!
