ThinkPad Tablet 3G

Lenovo has added 3G support to the ThinkPad Tablet in all 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models.

The option is under System Components –> Integrated Mobile –> Integrated Mobile Broadband (Sierra Wireless MC8355 – Gobi 3000) +$120.

A nice built in feature of Android 3.1 is the Mobile Hotspot so you can share your 3G connection with your other devices.

    The new ThinkPad Tablet powered by Android 3.1 is set to go on sale on August 23.

    So far, Apple has sold 28 million iPads. Motorola has shipped 690 thousand Xoom’s, Blackberry has shipped 500 thousand Playbooks and HP has cut the price of its Slate by 20% since its launch.

    As the Wall Street Journal puts it, the Tablet War is an Apple rout. Let’s hope Lenovo can catch up.
