t420s - Sierra wireless MC7710
Guys, Im thinking of getting t420s, but the critical condition for me is to be able to plug in Sierra Wireless MC7710, I know that its not on the whitelist, but lets just assume that I can patch BIOS and actually make it work, will be possible technically to plug in Sierra Wireless MC7710 into t420s...

Hey all, I'm based in Moscow atm, and my favourite provider (called YOTA) just moved to LTE from 3G, they will stop all devices on 3g soon. I had this great wimax card which worked perfectly, but since its LTE now, it will no longer work. I'm trying to figure out what kind of card I can get to use n...

Lol access to restricted folders via gmail attach file?
Hey all, I know this may be slightly off-topic, since this should probably belong to some security forum, however I highly dislike those huge forums where its easy to get lost. I think in a such tight like-minded community of thinkpad owners it would be easier to get a meaningful discussion especial...

Re: RE: Overclocking x301
I have no experience overclocking laptop CPUs. However, I also don't think that the slowness you experience (hanging on explorer and such) is the least bit related to CPU speed. you might be right here, the idea was to use this mahcine for pure office stuff, and it should cope with office sutff per...

Farewell x301 - I think its a great shame that lenovo discontinued x301, it was a great machine, especially bad that they deviated from original thinkpad design now with latches and all that jazz, which suck very much too. my understanding was that, recovery partition is somehow tied up with bios, what are the chances that acronis is going to spoil those nifty details embedded by lenovo ?
or is cloning sector by sector pretty much perfect and i have nothing to worry about ?

Re: re: installing ssd into x301
apparently standard samsumg MLC supplied with x30* (samsung mmcqe28g8mup-0va) is 5mm height, 80gb 2nd gen intel is 5mm as well, and 160gb 2nd gen intel is 8mm does that mean that 160 is not gonna fit ?
