Re: DockingSt X200-Will Serial Ultrabay Slim take Ultrabay Slim?
From the X200/T400 generation onwards, Lenovo introduced a new ultrabay connection based on a standard SATA connectors. Before that, the ultrabay connection was a PATA hot-plug connector, the slim version was introduced in T40 and continued till T61. T40 Ultrabays devices can plug into T60 and T61 a...

Re: Do all x200t have the glossy screen?
You must be mistaken. The X200t with multi-touch (meaning they can use finger in addition to pen-input) is matte. I've seen and touched one before. The only irritating thing is a slight image blurring due to the touchscreen layer on top of the IPS screen. I've not seen the standard (pen-input only) ...

Re: HV121WX4-120 (Matte AFFS panel) on X200 (Pics inside)
It's still WXGA (1280x 800 ). It won't work on WXGA+ equipped X200s, or any X200/X200s with LED backlit screen. I previously posted some photos of my X200 before & after installing the new screen, comparing between the 2 screens. Those pics were not very well taken though. I will try to put them ba...

Is the new panel 1280x768 or 1440x900?
Also is there any similar photos with same wallpaper showing the original x200 TN screen?
Cheers....

Re: X301 doesnt recognize WWAN module
Did you buy a non-Lenovo WWAN card? It sounds like it is being disabled by BIOS using pin20. Please tape pin 20 and you should be able to now see the card in OS. The other alternative is a DOA card. Hi all, I just got WWAN module (Ericsson F3507g) for my new X301 (2776LFG) with WXP SP3 ENG, installe...

Re: Upgrades on my T61
Thanks for the info, Nihan & Ahlip. My 14" widescreen T61 Product Code is 7664-15M which i think the FRU for the SIM slot will be 42W2498. Btw, do i have to buy a lenovo branded HSDPA card or any Sierra MC8775 will be fine? Is there a way to find out the FRU of the WWAN antenna kit, it seems it's n...

Re: Upgrades on my T61
Hi All, I am thinking of upgrading my T61 with: 1, WWAN HSDPA Support 2, Replacing with SSD HDD For 1: I have heard that some T61 comes with SIM card slot, some people said they are next to battery compartment but I can't find it. Just want to know if there is no SIM card slot then that means I can...

Re: T6x BIOS device whitelist (error 1802/1804) [solved]
Just like to report that I got my Lenovo branded Ericsson WWAN card working on a T61 14"wide. There was no need to change BIOS (thanks Zender for providing the modififed BIOS although ultimately not used), only needed to tape pin 20. Since this is a Lenovo branded card, all ThinkVantage functions su...

Re: X200s 7469-5GU WWAN compatibility?
The white taped up cable should be the 3rd MIMO antenna for WLAN (Intel 5300). In other posts, there have been success using this antenna for a WWAN card. A suggestion would be to get hold of a Lenovo Ericsson F3507g WWAN card (so that you do not need to mod BIOS), install it and use the white cable...

Re: X200s with ultraconnect 2x2 and intel 5300 card, WWAN
The 5300 card requires 3 antennas. If you purchase the screen with camera, then only 2 antennas will be available for the wireless card. If you purchase the screen without camera, then all 3 antennas will be available to the 5300 card. Bottomline: Get the 5100 card if you need to get the model with...

Re: Wattage display unavailable with latest power manager pkg?
Hi All, Sorry for digging up an old topic. However, I noticed that I was unable to get the wattage display to show up even with the registry hack. I'm using PWM 1.60 with my X61 Type-7674. Anyone having similar problems? Thanks in advance. Maybe the new version no longer accepts the registry choice...

Re: Lenovo Out Of X200s LED Screens
I thought the LED display option for X200s has 1440 x 1024 compared to 1280 x 800 for the standard X200 display?Puppy wrote:There is no LED display. It is just TN panel of very low quality with LED backlight. The problem is lack of higher resolution option regardless of the backlight type.

.......Then I placed one of my shirts on top of the keyboard and flipped upside down the X200. I don't if I was doing right. I read somewhere that the X200 keyboard has some sort of "drainage". I have examined it before and noticed 2 drains below the keyboard..... You were really lucky. No offense ...

Re: T6x BIOS device whitelist (error 1802/1804) [solved]
Hi all, Anyone had success installing a Lenovo branded Ericsson F3507g WWAN card into the T61? I understand that by default, it will not give a BIOS error during bootup, but T61s will not see new devices in Windows. I am curious if the modified BIOS from zender will enable to usage of this card. I h...

have you try resetting the battery meter? i saw in the power manager that you can reset the meter. i'll try out your suggestion and let it run all the way down to 5%. the hard part is, the battery meter only shows the estimate time left on the battery. anyway i can change it to show the percentage?...

Re: Short battery life on new X200...
I'm using a X200 with 6-cell. My experience is that the estimated batt time left in the indicator is based on your previous energy usage history, so once you start to run some high-power sapping applications, the estimate drops bigtime as it extrapolates that to your future usage (within the same ba...

Lenovo extenal DVD-RW : Use w/o power adapter?
Hi all, I have just taken delivery of a X200 (T9550, 320GB, 6-cell) and also got a Lenovo USD DVD multi-writer w/lightscribe in the bundle. The instructions and warnings all strongly request user to operate this writer with the provided 5V wall power adapter. I tested connectivity with just the USB ...
