ok, got the R400 today.
First impressions: Pretty good keyboard - better than the T400. Same FRU (42T4075) and MFG (42T4043) on both by the way...
Very solid and no sound from the 90W PowerAdapter - different FRUs for the adapters here

one question: i now have a T61 wit 4965 a/g/N wireless card and a new WRT150N WLAN Router. Both is draft-n but i "only" get 130Mbps. It doesn't bother me too much, but i only wanted to know if anybody was possible to get 300Mbps or more.

I also use (maybe the same) kingston memory in my T61 (2GB Lenovo + 2 GB Kingston).
But never had any issues with it - so maybe you got a bad module?

probably because the cpu runs at full power when you're in bios.
when you boot on battery, power management will throttle the cpu --> so its staying cooler!

but don't try it too often - change the thermal paste before!! or maybe you'll kill your cpu ...

i had the same problem with my T41p

after i reinstalled windows i didn't install the "audio tools" - only the plain driver. that solved the problem for me. And i think i USED the driver from Microsoft Update! not the ibm/lenovo one....
