Re: Install Secondary Fan under Palm rest(Has any one done it)
First reduce the wlan signal strength, this should reduce heat, too. Device Manager > Network Adapter > WLAN-Module ("Intel ...") > Advanced > last element in the list > "1. very low" hi i do not think this applies to atheros wlan card. intel ones probably gonna be a good solution. I checked the mo...

Hi
I tried with your special key package, However it does not work with my X61s. But it does detect my ACPI keyboard input when i press a key. So remapping probably needed but i do not know how to link those key combinations to function. Did u modify the source of VoodooPS2?

Re: X61T - loud CPU fan
changing the fan is one way. If you would like to save some money, apply some grease to motor can be helpful. But dont apply too much. Make sure it is dust free before proceed lubrication.

Install Secondary Fan under Palm rest(Has any one done it)
Hi
Has any one succeed to install the secondary fan under palmrest? Since our X61 gets really hot under the palm rest.
I have searched but did not find any one who had done it yet

Re: 10.6.X on X60/T60/X61 (CoreDuo, Core2Duo / GMA950, GMA3100)
Hi. IOreg gave me "CSTInfo" = 19136773 Which means my x61s has Cstates. But what i m wondering is that how often our X61 resides C3 or C4 states. The temp has not changed dramatically like yours. I undervolt the cpu with coolbook so it runs below 56 if no heavy duty. I will report back if i found an...

Re: 10.6.X on X60/T60/X61 (CoreDuo, Core2Duo / GMA950, GMA3100)
Unfortunately I was wrong the second time. The 10.6.7 update kills C-States and my processor is 10-12 degree hotter :( But I managed to fix it (thanks to Time Machine). I replaced the following kexts inside System.kext (PlugIns): AppleNMI.kext ApplePlatformFamily.kext BSDKernel.kext BSDKernel6.0.ke...

APS Sensor. Possible to load AppleSMS.KEXT?
As we know that our APS sensor is implanted in our Thinkpad. The similar sudden motion sensor is in Macs. But they different chips. I m just wondering if it is possible to load AppleSMS.kext. and maybe modify FakeSMC to collect smc data from APS (SMS). -Apple uses the Kionix KXM52-1050 three-axis ac...

Re: Controlling fan under OSX : Is that possible?
Hi Thanks for the hard work, now i can control my Fan. However regarding the sensors, We do not have Offsect (0xc0) Under Device (EC). just wondering if it is possible to add them back to our DSDT. However i do not know their names. I think c1 is for PCI, c0 for North bridge. C2 for chipset. Edit: A...

Hi
Have you guys noticed that Speedstep Pstates on C2D L7500 is not well defined. Neither of the FSB or Bus frequency.
I used Macbook 3,2 as model, and I have a X61s

Re: DSDT Patching for Dummies - SnowLeo with 100% vanilla /S/L/E
Well, I've been a bit rusty lately, didn't check any updated kexts, since my setup was working just fine. But I've just quickly tried latest FakeSMC.kext with plugins, and no luck so far. The only additional value I could see in iStat was CPU voltage, which is not very useful. ThinkPad fan is not d...

Hi.
I m just wondering have you ever figured out any optimized way to control fan? BTW are you able to get fan and other sensor reading via the new version of Fakesmc?
Thanks for your guild. It definitely educated me!
