eCS on a Thinkpad with Flash Hard Drive?

If one had a flash hard drive (instead of a regular hard drive) in a Thinkpad, could one install eCS?

Like a regular drive?

From what I have read from other forums, it should be treated like a regular hard drive. Since there are no mechanical parts, would it load faster than a mechanical one? :?:
