Plan to upgrade to eCS version 2.0?
When 2.0 comes out, how many will upgrade, buy the full version or stay with with what they have? I am planning to get the full version of 2.0 instead of the upgrade so I can install it on a new computer without having to re-install the previous version.

Re: Plan to upgrade to eCS version 2.0?
I'm far from sure that there would be any need to do that. There is no difference between my 1.2 'upgrade' and the full product. The beta of version 2 is, so far at least, the same. There would be no need to install or reinstall the previous version.BigWarpGuy wrote:When 2.0 comes out, how many will upgrade, buy the full version or stay with with what they have? The real problem so far as I can see is whether it will be worth upgrading. So far, there is little of real value in the betas of v2 - bootable JFS may be nice, but its far from vital, and so far, the ACPI support is poor at best. Of the things that are really needed (proper support for wireless and drivers for new hardware - especially printers) there is no sign.
I'm reluctant to move away from OS2/eCS (been using OS/2 since the beta of version 2.0), but I see very little real future for it, unfortunately.

Wireless and New Hardware
There is a discussion of wireless for OS/2-eCS at the forum at http://www.os2world.com . I am trying to get my Intell wifi pcmcia card to work with eCS 1.1 and the drivers I found. There are bounties for new(er) hardware/software at http://www.os2world.com .
