eCS 1.2 Uniaud fails on T21

I have both eCS 1.1 and 1.2 running in different partitions on a T21
When I boot 1.2 the Uniaud sound drivers work for a short time and then fail.
The harware manager tells me that the sound card and the usb controller are both using IRQ11. Perhaps this is the problem?
When I boot 1.1 there are no shared IRQs
Two questions:
Is there some way to make Uniaud work on a T21?
if not
What is the easiest way to replace Uniaud wiith the IBM sound drivers for this machine?
Hoping for some expert advice

How to uninstall Audio Driver on eComStation

I prefer the IBM sound drivers to UniAud on my ThinkPads.

To uninstall UniAud on eCS 1.2, you must use a new procedure. From the eCS button, pick Desktop->Local System->Install/Remove->Multimedia Management.

At the Welcome Screen, press Next. Choose Uninstall an Installed Feature, and press Next. Select Uninstall UniAud, and press Uninstall MMOS/2 Option.

Thanks for the help
Uniaud uninstalled ok, but unfortunately when I tried to install the IBM sound drivers the eCS installer failed to operated properly. The file copy dialogue flashed to 'finished' with 00.00 time elapsed and no sound was available, so I'm back to Uniaud.
Uniaud soulnd works until the machine is put into suspend mode for the first time after booting. Then there is no more sound after restoring the sytem.
Any further thoughts or suggestions would be very welcome

UniAud in my view is not all that its made up to be.

I found its laptop support lacking indeed.
Thanks for the tip!
Where can I find these drivers?

The Thinkpad Driver matrix is the best place for TP drivers.

Yours is a T21 isn't it? See http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4ENRG5

As to UNIAUD, have you tried the latest version? ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/uniaud/uniaud_latest.zip

Is this new driver a public version? I have a T22 with the same problem. Where can I get your version from?
