R50p - I want OS/2

#1 Post by dr_te_z » Tue Mar 22, 2005 6:13 am

My boss supplied me with an R50p with XP. Nice. I made it mulitboot by installing linux. I would like to install OS/2 alongside. My problems are described here http://www.serenityvirtual.com/forums/s ... eadid=1684

No reaction on that forum so far. Here anyone a suggestion?

It looks like you can do a floopy boot, although from a USB floppy. If so, you will have to make all the floppies for the install through the OS/2 makedsk.cmd I think it is. This cannot be run in a cmd shell from within XP, you will need a Win98 or Win95 install, or even DOS.

Otherwise, you can download from IBM the new diskette images to boot. They support large HDetc, and complete the install normally from cdrom. I am assuming you want a multi-boot system, no?
