Hello and welcome to the Forum :)

Check your New Messages at the top of this page. I have several Pentium based older laptops available, whatever you're into.

Daniel.

It wasn't in your list, but would you have a use for a 380Z? I've had it since new, and it's sitting around somewhere still with Windows 2000 on it ;)

I need only the types of thinkpads in that list. Im going to be running Operating systems that only support those models

NeXTcomputers OpenStep, Apple Rhapsody DR2 and NeXTstep
Driver base was very limited in laptops

Fun project! I got OpenStep 4.2 running on an old Digital Celebris GL 5133st a few years ago. Very interesting to see how much of it lives on in OS X.

I actually have a 760ED somewhere in storage which *is* compatible, but the power brick is toast, and I have no clue if the rest of it works...

I have a 760C that is no good but the power brick is fine. I don't know enough about these to insure compatibility with JeffCullen's 760ED. If it is I'm willing to donate to the project.
Good luck either way with your project and God bless our troops who have paid for our freedom with their life. Keith

hello appleIIfan..
err, odd username for a thinkpad forum.. :)

so, welcome to the forum..

and

i was asked by another forum member in a PM if you are the same person as Steve Landon of applefritter fame..?
not sure what that means so i thought it best to ask you..

meanwhile, in response to a question from another, above, YES, the AC power brick as used on a 760C will work on ANY 760 series thinkpad..

Yep, that's his name, at least from an email he sent me. What's applefritter? :??:

I still haven't had time to check through my stuff for some laptops on his list. I will get back to you soon, Steve...

We all know about the "Dell lovers" who love to chat on this Forum. I guess the Dell forums must be pretty boring LOL. Now there seem to be a few "Apple lovers" popping up.

... I think "Thinkpad Lover" is a nice username for a Thinkpad Forum :)

Daniel.

I will try to dig up the 760ED next time I visit my storage...

There's a cheap 560 here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-think-pad-5 ... 0702231494
If you should get this, I could help you with its BIOS problem.
