ok for all you guys helping me upgrade there seems to be an issue with what type of HDD i got and what the CD/dvd bay type is? I assume thats where the "ultrabay slim/2000" caddy I want is going? Correct me if I'm lost in the T43 architecture, 8^(

the HDD is DEFINETLY PATA!

how do I tell if I've got an ultrabay "slim" or "2000" ?

thanks eto

It's ultrabay slim, and it can be SATA or PATA - I suggest getting a SATA one.

To go for the ultimate update on that machine, send it in to me, and I will modify it so that the main hard disk will be a SATA drive.
The latest I saw is a 1TB SATA hard disk (that is one TERA-byte, = 1,000 GigaByte) that will then fit in your T43.
Add a 2nd SATA HDD adapter and you could have 2TB hard disk space!
PM me if you are interested in the SATA mod.
