FOUND: 1.8" MicroSATA SSD *PICS*

#1 Post by Raceboy » Tue May 08, 2012 6:37 am

I need a 1.8" SSD, preferrably maximum 64GB because I don't need more (even 16GB is enough) and there is no point in paying for the storage that won't get used.

If you have one laying around, don't hesitate to offer it to me! :)

Thanks!

mod edit: changed title to eliminate confusion.   you want MicroSATA, not mSATA.   these two interfaces are vastly different and cannot be interchanged.

This was already clarified by a moderator, the msata drive that you're linking is only supported by the most recent thinkpads and is NOT a 1.8" drive. What he wants is a 1.8" sata drive, this is common in subnotebook class computers, other thinkpads equipped with SSD use 1.8" with a special caddy to convert to 2.5".

The mSATA or miniPCI drive is a different device

MicroSATA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA#Micro_connector
