Thanks and cheers.

Sorry to drag this into discussion, but I'm also interested, it's just that.. does the panel offer anything else other than a higher res? Maybe HV150UX2 would be a better one, despite being UXGA.

(I assume the QXGA panel can be LED modded, too)

Then again, my interest might fade if the price is high and my feeling is that it WILL.

Users swear it is the best panel ever built for a laptop. Even a class better than the LED UXGA.

A mod is possible BUT needs a lot of modifications. If you're interested I'll search a description in the german TP Forum.

In the german TP Forum a new one was sold two weeks ago for 330€. Which is a lot, I think.

Not by a long stretch, and this is coming from someone who has seen his fair share of QXGA panels.

I guess that you've meant NOS (New Old Stock) since these panels have been out of production for well over a decade. If that indeed was the case, 330 Euros was pretty much a bargain basement price.

If I had one in the original packaging - and NOT from questionable Asian sources - I'd likely be asking more than that. But I don't.

Good luck with your noble quest.

Because I haven't seen one in action I like to find out myself.

That is what I meant, old, but never used.

You really think so? First price was 350€ for a month, no one showed interest. In July '16 a used one in good condition was sold for 150€. At that time I wasn't into looking for this panel.

Thank you very much. I think, I'll need it :)

Tthe M model has been used in standalone monitors. It's depths is double that of the N/P/S, so is its weight.

The M model doesn't fit into laptops, so I changed my search to the N/P/S models

I bought myself an IAQX10M (not fitting into laptops).

As I only need the matrix to transplant it into an LED ready display housing, I wanted to give it a try.

And ordered it from China.

Attached to a T61 the CCFL started but the panel stayed black. el-sahef from the german TP forum (all credits to him) told me about the missing EDID chip and helped me out with a soldering ready chip.

Attached to the display cable the panel works ootb and the resolution can directly be set to QXGA.

Now there is only some more work to be done and I call myself a proud owner of a real Frankenstein Daylight IAQX10!
