Re: Positive feedback for FAIR Traders
I'd like to echo the comments about JohnD, he's been great in every way imaginable and he's always paid a bit more than I asked and every time I offered something extra so I didn't feel like I was taking advantage of his generosity, he would send me money for it. He's truly one in a million and I've dwelt with him many times. If I recall he has one of my custom built T601 ultimate frankenpads with NOS nVidia boards and LED uxga screens and most recently a beautiful high end T42 that landed in my lap in a trade deal, nearly dead mint. One of these days we need to go have lunch since we live so near each other, but the point of this message is John is a great guy to deal with and loves his thinkpads.
I've also go so many regulars here that I've traded with and it's hard to keep up and make sure I mention everyone. Some of these names are Initial D, Wacky D, RealBlackStuff, ajkula66, Brad, Hwattys, friedrich-eugen, bg_NY, blank001, coolcat37, andre#4, UMPC2024, cacophony, jamato, brucehe, EAkamai, theterminator93, rumbero, Wolfman_Jack, bernard_ivo, rpp703, emeraldgirl08, vectorbundle, joker4791, gaphic2, dozens more and last but not least robert213 who has been a joy to deal with. Please let me know if I left anyone out, it wasn't intentional, just that I've been so busy with other issues that face us in life that I haven't had as much time here. Most recently (last year or two) I purchased a foreclosed house for my daughter and grandkids to live in and all the money from any parts I've liquidated have gone into refurbishing it. It's really been a blessing and even though it was a terrible loss that brought us to this place, finding this property and the way the deal fell together worked out perfect, so I can't be happier.
I'll be slowly clearing out a lot of my personal thinkpad collection over the next year or so, hopefully we can get all the work done this summer.
Thanks also to Bill who makes our second home here in the forum possible and all the staff members who keep the forum up and running. This is more than a website for most of us, it's a second home.

A thanks to Neil, who assembled a 770 for me to use in a project. I think the work you put into it was worth more than I paid, so thankful that you did this. Sourcing a good looking non-functional 770 was actually harder than I thought, and I didn't have it in my to sacrifice a working unit.

Thanks goes to member ckaufman for buying my T420s. He sent a money order from the US and it arrived sooner than expected. Great communication, very knowledgeable , and an all around great guy and a true TP enthusiast. Thank you Charles.

Please take Canadian Dude's kind words about me with a grain
of salt . Because he is a generous and helpful and honest Dude
as well as Canadian and so might find it hard to say anything
critical about anyone. My dealings with him were smooth and
efficient. He did a lot more than he had to and the laptop is
nicer than I had any right to expect. Do not hesitate to do
business with him.

Thanks kiwipad, I have to reiterate the same about kiwipad. He was a pleasure to deal, and he was very patient as I've had to plan for a wedding and had family flying from all over. Would deal with any time. Have to thank Em for helping with the logistics from US to New Zealand.kiwipad wrote:Thanks to jedisurfer1 for being very patient (while we organized overseas shipping) and sending me an immaculate and beautifully packed W520.

A huge shoutout for Plympton!
He sold me a NOS 9-Cell 55+ battery for my T410 for the incredible price of $20 (I sent $25 because I felt $20 was too cheap). Buy a beer with that fiver.
Fast shipping. The battery has 0-cycles and power manager gives it a clean bill of health.
Thank you so, so, so, so much!

Hi All,
This feedback is for RealBlackStuff. He did a SATA-mod on my T43 (my main machine for a good number of years) and I just got it in, under the wire.
He is a great and knowledgeable person. A very quick turn around and quick shipper. I would not hesitate to do business with him again.
Thank you,
John

And it's my pleasure to return the compliment.
JohnD is great and very easy to deal with.
He comes highly recommended!
His SATA-mod was the penultimate mod I did.
And the very last one went to (who else!) my good friend George/ajkula66.

Re: Positive feedback for FAIR Traders (TuuS and RealBlackStuff: TOP- friendly and reliable )
Hello to whom it may concern...
Yesterday (postal workers no longer on strike and a weekend to go) I managed to repair my Frankenpad T60-61P, after my motherboard/systemboard died of (?) heat and Nvidia-specific aging.
TuuS and RealBlackStuff did again help me to overcome that inexpected problem. I already was about to buy a new board as a spare and I did have to buy it than. TuuS and RealBlackStuff did help at my start and both stayed friendly and helpful all along, allthough I 'm rather not a technician, just a learned user.
TuuS and RealBlackStuff helped me again this springtime. Both are reliable, friendly and knowledgeable members.
I do trust both of them completely. It was and is a pleasure, having their help and buying from them!!

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to say it was a pleasure to purchase from dsigma6 and from tgrevers.
They both shipped quickly once I made payment to them. dsigma6 used a lot of bubble rap in his packaging. Also, tgrevers packaged his items well. I am very happy.
Both fine gentleman to deal with.
Thank you,
