Positive feedback for FAIR Traders

#1 Post by AssPenny » Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:24 am

I thought the mods could be kind enough to make this a sticky.

Post positive feedback here for thinkpads.com forum members. This will help new members find a fair trader and also give new members an easier time being known for fair trading.

Kudos go out to Brainpicker (Yak/John) as a fair trader. You can feel free to mail to him first as he will follow through with the deal.
AlphaKilo was a good square trader too, safe to do business with this gentleman.
Kyocera - Got a good deal on some restore disks, completely trustworthy!
Brainpicker - again for another fair and straight dealer.
bontistic - Gave me the benefit of honest and delivered as promised!

Admin edit: OK, lets see how this works.. :)

I am another pleased buyer from brainpicker (yak).

Last month I rec'd a nice R52 that meets my needs and have been happy w/ it. He was very patient in explaining the T'pads that he had for sale at the time and in arranging for shipping. I cannot recall having rec'd an item packed so well.

This thread is a great idea by assembling positive reviews in one place. It is helpful to me and others who want a non-Ebay alternative to buying. Before contacting brainpicker, I had seen positive references about him from others in the forum, but they were scattered about.

Worked out a 3 way deal with brainpicker and carbon_unit where I shipped a 40gb drive to carbon_unit who paid brainpicker to send me 512MB of RAM for a T40.

Good communication all round and brainpicker actually sent the RAM Global Priority meaning that I had it in a day. He also threw in a free set of T40 recovery disks to boot.

carbon_unit also very graciously sent me recovery disks for a T42 and a T22 via express mail late last year when I was between a rock and a hard place. Thanks once again.

Great people.

Bought a dual-battery charger from morgie and it arrived quickly and just as described, along with a nice note. Paid with Paypal Thursday night, morgie had it in the mail Friday, and it arrived at my office in California today. Good service from the UK.

Glad you've got and are happy Bral. From a sellers point of view this was also an excellent transaction, immediate payment via PayPal for this ThinkPad multiple battery charger (more available, email me if you're interested - thanks).

Just got an X22 to replace my wife's R31 from asiafish, It looks like it left the IBM's plant yesterday. Absolutely no marks of any kind on it, no blemishes, nothing but a cosmetically perfect and funtionally maxed out X22. It looks even prettier than the new HPs/Acers/Compaqs/Dells that I have seen in the store.

Great purchase at a great price from a very honest dealer who went the extra mile to make sure that the deal went through. I am very happy with the machine that he sent me.

Bought a custom T40 from brentpresley

laptop came yesterday -Everything is in incredible condition! I mean really really incredible condition - I have a T41p that looks older than this T40.Also Amazingly we worked out an evil scheme to avoid customs duty (he was shipping internationally from The United States to Dublin, Ireland)which i won't go into here but it involved shipping the hard drive seperately (among other things) lol!!!

Brent was extremely timely with messages, very flexible, and really i must say it couldn't have been smoother.

Thanks.

No one here should worry in the least about purchasing something from Teresa.

Over the years I've purchased many things from her and witnessed many other of her sales, never heard anything but praise for the sale process.

All proceeds go to her 1YO's college fund!
