I just realized recently that by turning on Turbo Boost, you can get some insane performance boosts on heavy duty CPU loads. I always thought it was just a useless gimmick to sell more laptops.
Anyways, my question is is it safe to leave Turbo Boost always on, since it throttles the CPU fan to max when activated. Has anyone left this one for prolonged durations, before. Its a pain for me to keep turning it on and off, whenever I do CPU intensive work.
Please don't guess, I only want first hand experience on this one. Logically it shouldn't be an issue, but having the fan throttled to max can't be a good thing.
