Firmware upgrade for F3507g R1D6

#1 Post by jazzaddict » Sun May 01, 2011 3:12 am

Greetings,

I've spent the last few hours looking for R1D6 firmware upgrade for lenovo, but there's isn't really one. I found this for Del 5530 http://www.etehnica.ro/f3507g.exe which is a rebadged f3507g anyway. Is it possible to extract the payload and perform a firmware upgrade through AT command? I get frequent disconnections with R1B/1, I'm already on the latest versions of access connections and drivers

Which 3G provider are you using?

I'm with three. It's difficult to get connected, ac would fail at applying WWAN settings. Sometimes, it take 5 - 7 attempts before I get connected. But once I'm connected the connection is relatively stable.

My condolences then! :(

FWIW, I have two F3705g cards in different Thinkpads. The one in my T400 is the earlier firmeware, while the one in my X200 is the R1D6 firmware. On Telstra Next G connections (850 MHz band) , I can't tell any difference in the performance between the two cards.

Cheers,

Bill B.
