Question about Rescue and Recovery

hi guys,
part. c crashed on my x201i. i want to restore the original data with the rescue and recovery prog, BUT i have data on drive d. so i dont know if r&r repartitioned also part. d leading to loosing all my data..??? anyone knows about this ?

Have you booted into the recovery and read what it intends to do? Some recoveries allow only formatting/recovering portions of the hard drive while others insist on blanking the entire thing.

Take the HD out and, using a USB case, retrieve your data from the D-drive onto a PC or other HD.
Then reboot the laptop and press F11 or Thinkvantage button for R&R.
That way everything is still save.
