t42 wireless lan reconnection problem

everytime i hit disconnect on a wlan and try to reconnect it just goes in a loop of trying to connect/disconnect. i need to either restart the t42 or put it in sleep and bring it back out of sleep to get a connection going. using wpapsk2

ive tried this with 2 different routers and 2 different wlan (2200 bg internal and usb based wg111v3) same result.

what could be the problem? i have the latest drivers and using winxp pro sp3

Hi there,

I recently had similar Wifi problems with my T41, I would suggest you try using Access Connections (assuming you are currently using Windows to manage wireless connections).

If you still have a problem after that, try using a Linux Live CD to test your adapter in a different operating system such as Ubuntu.

do i need to install hotkey? and some settings in bios?

ok after updating wifi drivers, acon, hotkey, intel inf, power mgmt driver it is working through accon but not through windows.

not sure why it is not working via windows.
