Has anybody tried whether the 1.8" SATA to 2.5" IDE converter (= the one which we are mainly discussing in this thread) will work with a 1.8" SATA SSD in the main HDD bay in a T43/p?
Reason for asking is partly that in this post I am quoting an eBay'er ("micro-ems") who mention to have used "T43 with internal SATA to PATA bridge, adapter - 1,8" SSD Runcore 128GB" (partly succesfull?!), although experienced some freezing (but this was perhaps owing to an unfortunate pick of SSD in combination with the 1.8" SATA to 2.5" PATA adapter, as I have experienced myself in T42/p's?), and moreover, in this post another report mention a no-go in a T43... Today, I just stumbled across Michael J Moffitt's Project Log » Blog Archive » Intel 915GM SATA Hack where...:
... but with no details about what had been done/tried etc.?... So: Anyone from this forum who can definitely (= from own, actual experience) confirm whether T43/p's will, or won't, work with the 1.8" SATA to 2.5" PATA adapter and a 1.8" SATA drive (SSD or HDD) in the main (HDD) drive bay??
