T60p QXGA, just showing off :D
T60p QXGA, just showing off :D
T60P, 3GB RAM, Intel SSD. Newoldstock QXGA screen.
Nothing gets better than this in term of working screen.
Unfortunately it is still T60P mainboard so no SATA II. Most of SSD speed goes to chimney.
But still,
from hibernation, from powerbutton to login - 13 seconds.
from shutdown, from powerbutton to login - 16 seconds.
Anyway. Cant wait for Chinese T70 mainboard...

Sooooo much screen space... Not everyday I fullscreen a screenshot from a 4:3 computer and it out-pixels my screen in both dimensions (1920x1200 vs. 2048x1536)
Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...

and yes. I am a bit of a lunatic.

Is it comfortable to have such a high resolution in a laptop? I can't really imagine using full HD in a 15.6" monitor... but it's very subjective anyway.
My T430 with GTX 560 Ti (Now with GTX 670)
T430: i5-3320m, 8 GB, SSD + HDD, 1600x900.

It is comfortable, as long as you do not plan to use full screen media playback.kony wrote:Is it comfortable to have such a high resolution in a laptop? I can't really imagine using full HD in a 15.6" monitor... but it's very subjective anyway.
It has just a little to little power. But for any work software - it is great. And it works wonders when browsing holiday photos.

Very nice! SSDs are always great on laptops, less power and nothing to worry about if dropped, even with APS.
