My First ThinkPad

This is my first time owning a ThinkPad! This is an IBM Thinkpad R40 running Windows 98.

I would try OS/2, but I was worried about drivers because the last version of OS/2 come out in 2001, but my ThinkPad R40 came out in 2003.

I have gotten OS/2 running on a t43, it is pretty janky (mostly due to my own stupidity). I would be really surprised if it wouldn't work on a machine that's two years older

OK! I'll give OS/2 a try. I started getting bored with all the old linux distros, because the Thinkpad can't run a modern Desktop, but it's too new to run all of the nice looking old desktops (KDE 2, GNOME 1) because the distros that include this are all from 2001 - late 2002.
