No...it's Revolutions Pack. The RPConfig at the top of the start menu kind of gives it away. RP includes several different themes, and two or three of them are Vista based.

Thanks! :D

Really nothing much fancy to it. Right-click on the panel>Properties>Background tab>Solid Color(black)> slide 1/4-1/3 of the way to the right between Transparency/Opaque. Set the same for both top and bottom panels.
I'm also using the "Dust" theme if that makes any difference. And I have all fonts shrunk to "7"

Here is my screenie of the week.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 with some Conky goodness.

Clicky to embiggify:

Image

I am tweaking up my conky. I would like to add mpd status, album art and finally a 5 day weather forecast. As you can see my calendar is not centered within the conky window so I have to work on that a bit as well. It is very much a work in progress. I have been borrowing a bit of code from:

http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=39906&p=1

There is all kinds of conky goodness going on over there. It is also tempting me to take a look at arch linux for this laptop as well. Although I still have to do some more comparison between Arch and Ubuntu but I do think that I am more than ready to switch distro's to something other than Ubuntu. Maybe debain stable, but more than likely Arch.

EDIT: The XP Pro OEM.iso file is a copy of my own legal XP CD. I am also working on setting up XP inside virtual box just in case I need to run a Windows program for some oddball reason.

I really like the idea of having a 5day weather forecast too. I could never get it quite how I wanted it, but didn't fiddle with it enough either. It looks like you and I borrowed from the same code! :D

Win 7 Experience Index on my T61P with Windows 7 64 Bit. I'll be in machine for another year thanks to this forum's advice and workarounds for upgrades.

I found G.Skill 4GB RAM modules that work quite well. Also added WWAN support including antennae, SIM slot, and a Gobi 2000 (formerly Sierra MC5725).

It's a great setup for VMWare. Most days I have a least one virtual machine running or testing or development. Usually Snow Leopard for iPhone development.

One of the default Ubuntu wallpapers with some gentle Conky on the side. I went crazy with the script at first, putting up mad statistics and numbers and bars and such, but then I realized the only things I really look at are CPU temp and RAM usage, so I scaled it back. I also wanted it to stay on the dark areas of the photo so I didn't have to bother with transparency. It updates every five seconds.

This is my summertime desktop. I took the picture about a month ago while visiting my wife's mother. As you can learn from the whether widget it is stormy there.

Thanks! As for camera it's a Sony DSC-H55 (you can see the manual in the left low corner of the desktop) I bought a couple of months ago. Nothing spectacular if compared to any SLR camera, but still decent gadget with some nice features for reasonable price.

Rocking Gnome-shell right now. It's definitely different. Takes some getting used to, but a decent alternative/evolution of Gnome.

Interesting. What did you do to get the desktop icon text background transparency, and how did you get FF 3.5 to run on Win98?
