The same logic applies as to whether you would really spend $1000 on a modern laptop, when you can buy an older model for $200... To each his own.A31 wrote:Would you really spend $77 / just under £50 on a dock? I spent £10 / $15 on mine lol! I think the trick is to wait until they get older and then you'll the see the price fall...

@A31- No there is no way I'm spending $77 on a dock! I can wait on on that a little longer. Oh and the flexview are wide angle viewing screens. I think the acronym IPS (In-plane switching) is that you don't get the strange polarization when you view your LCD from an extreme top, bottom, or side angle. I am going to work towards getting me a T60P now. I have a widescreen and a regular 15"- both are acceptable for what my usage so things are working out for me. I still want the Flexview sometimes in my future though.
@dr_st- Wow. A thousand "smackerooeys" sounds nice right about now I like any Thinkpad that can transcode video and allow me to play my Neverwinter Nights game. If it can do those two things without shutting down then I'm good

OK, now moving onto upgrading the RAM,
so when I get some money back!!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1GB-PC2700-DDR-SO ... 414c53c128
Replace my current 256MB chip with this so I'll have the 1GB chip and the 512MB chip. Should make the Thinkpad a bit faster!!
That is quite cheap by the way, just $36 USD!
EDIT, I'm going to see if I can get this chip: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laptop-RAM-Memory ... 19b965ee32, very, very cheap!!!, Well, it was, but now it's getting more and more expensive
And I've just gone and bought a 1GB chip off eBay so hopefully will recieve next week and use in my A31! Looking forward to 1.5GB RAM rather than 768MB RAM
