My recent purchase...

#1 Post by rossmosis » Sat Feb 18, 2012 4:46 pm

I feel like everybody here can appreciate what I found at St. Vinny's today, cost about $40 for 6 of them (all of them in the store haha). All of them are brand new in the box, never opened, except for the one on top, which I still had to separate from the styrofoam shell. The feeling of a never-before-used mechanical is heavenly. I had just found an M2 at Goodwill a few months ago as well, keep your eyes peeled.

Wonderful keyboards. I have several of these but am also quite a Northgate OmniKey fan... I can never decide which I prefer.

It's been a loooooooooooong time since I've last laid my fingers on something like that...you lucky, lucky man...

Now if you could find a Selectric in the same unused condition for me... :D

Haha I always have my eyes open! The first thing I look at when I go to Goodwill, St. Vinny's, or any place like that is the keyboards. I'm planning on selling one or two of them to recoup the money and help pay for rent. It's pretty cool knowing that I'm the only one who has typed on this keyboard, gives it a lot more personal feel (not to mention it has the date it was made down to the day as well as an employee's actual name on the box!). I'd be down to sell one or two to Thinkpadders for the right price to avoid ebay charges. Otherwise it's just nice to know that I have an arsenal of keyboards that seem to last forever.
