Admins- How about a "ThinkPads in the Enterprise" forum?
Admins- How about a "ThinkPads in the Enterprise" forum?
This forum has lots of great information on all things ThinkPad. Much of the info is slanted toward the individual home users. How about a special section for ThinkPad admins in a multi-user environment? It would be a good place to organize tools that workstation admins use to help manage ThinkPads in their company and also to discuss trends with hardware failures or other issues that we see when supporting 100's or 1000's of ThinkPads.
Just a thought, thanks!

PS- For the heck of it I have created a poll to gauge interest in this idea.

I don´t manage a bunch of ThinkPads, in fact just one, but I think it is a nice idea
IBM Lenovo Z61p | 15.4'' WUXGA | Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 2x 2.16GHz | 4 GB Kingston HyperX | Hitachi 7K500 500 GB + WD 1TB (USB) | ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 | ThinkPad Atheros a/b/g | Analog Devices AD1981HD | Win 7 x86 + ArchLinux 2009.08 x64 (number crunching)
Re: Admins- How about a "ThinkPads in the Enterprise" forum?
I manage four ThinkPads in total two of which are mine and the other of my family members. That's no Enterprise so I'm not sure if we need such forum. Besides, the third option made me laugh so I went for that.

I see no reason to exclude any members. Plus I don't think there would be a way to filter out the general public without manually administering it. It might be a good idea to make this (potential) forum only accessible to registered forum members as that would be a good incentive for lurker ThinkPad admins to join and participate.
