Fan control for lenovo G560

#1 Post by bthep » Thu Dec 30, 2010 7:39 am

Hello,

I recently bought the lonovo g560 and the noise of the fan is driving me crazy, especially because it's not constant, but goes on and off. Ideal would be a constant not-so-loud sound. I tried TPFancontrol and pfcontrol, but both of them don't seem to have any influence on the fan. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for any help

BUMB
Setting up a G560e for a friend - wow what a crap experience compared to thinkpads >(
Only upside seems to be the energymanager, as it allows for quick powerplan selection by rightclicking the tray-icon (a feature that for ODD reasons disappeared from the TV power manager to much frustration)
I use a little donationware (powerplanassistant) on my thinkpad to remedy this, but naturally I am thinking:
1: can the energymanager be used on a thinkpad?
2: Is there any way to get tpfc to work on a g-series?
