Re: Restructuring T23
To remove CMOS battery, first remove main battery, remove single screw holding CMOS battery and lift out of socket. Putting it back is a little tricky, I use a small screw driver to push the connector into the socket.
Collection = T430 - T500 - R400 - X300 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - R61 (15" SXGA+) - T60 - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P
Re: Restructuring T23
@simpic: Please note that most of the more trivial questions can easily be covered by simply reading the fine documentation provided by Lenovo. It is sufficiently detailed and illustrated to answer most hardware related doubts. You have already been provided with a valid link to the mighty HMM earlier in this thread, so please just follow it and enjoy the fact, that even the questions you didn't ask yet are already answered.
As already pointed out earlier by RealBlackStuff, you will find the PDF Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for free download at support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-4UYM3F. Go get it and you will be rewarded with an astonishing read.

Re: Restructuring T23
Hello again!
I have another question for you
How to enable the 4 buttons at the top of the keyboard (on Ubuntu)?
I mean ThinkPad button and volume buttons...
Thank you.
PS: Is it possible to add function for enable/disable wireless?

Re: Restructuring T23
In searching around for Ubuntu apps for a T23 I came across the Thinkpad Button program for the on screen display of the volume control. I have posted the link below. I'm not a Ubuntu user so I am not familiar with how it is used.simpic wrote:Hello again!

You should posting any additional questions regarding Ubuntu and the T23 in the Linux forum. That maybe a better venue in which to connect with those familiar with Ubuntu and the T23 system. Here is the link to that forum.....simpic wrote: PS: Is it possible to add function for enable/disable wireless?

Re: Restructuring T23
It worked thank you very much!
...but it does not interrelate with the software panel for audio.
I mean that now i have 2 ways to adjust volume and they are not synchronized.
Is it normal?
For the other question i'm going to the Linux forum, thx
