Recovery disk for T21

#1 Post by ThinkPadMan » Thu Mar 06, 2014 4:58 pm

I get nice old T21 (2647-2AG), and I am looking to put it back into factory spec. Are recovery CDs (or iso) available that would load Windows 98SE as well as all the original IBM ThinkPad software?
Many thanks

Grab set #32.
The T21/T22 are close enough that it should install 99% of the drivers just fine. W2k is a fine OS, provided you max the memory out(512mb will run it). All of the TP specific programs are the same between the two units

If you dont want to go that way, I think I have a Retail copy of 98se floating around here.

If you are still in need of the original disks, take a look at the two that I have from my T21. I could make ISO images if you want. They are marked as Win98. I bought the T21 new in July, 2001, so it may actually be Win98SE, which was released in 1999.

T21 & T22 used the same recovery discs. IBM PN 23P3121 is for W98 SE. PN 19K9974 has the apps & drivers.

For W2000 it's PN 23P9175 &23P1846.
