Thinkpad T-20 and suspend mode issue and other inquiries

#1 Post by betabill » Sun Dec 11, 2005 9:28 pm

On returning from Suspend mode the PS/2 mouse port is inoperable,
I have to re-boot to get my PS/2 mouse back.

Also, after being powered down for 10 hours or longer, the battery icon flashes yellow as if the battery is low until I momentarily remove the A/C power connector, then it glows green.

I recently replaced the 4 year old battery with a new OEM but the problem with the charge condition persists.

I have the latest bios installed and all the software updates that Lenovo's Spoftware Installer can find.

Also, will an internal DVD+RW upgrade work on this T-20 with no more than a driver change? I have an internal DVD player in it now but I need to write to CDRW on the note pad.

Oh, a week after I bought this refurbished T-20, the ethernet/modem daughtercard went bad and so simply I removed it. Have wireless networking at my house and office ao I dont need the daughercard. Before removing the daughtercard, Windows XP would lock when dectecting the modem.
