I think you can look it up at the support site for your model:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... country=us

You might want to change the language, and then enter your model in the entry point, and the software drivers will be available.

thanks, but I tried this before and there was no way to get just the regular IBM Thinkpad T23 keyboard driver..... :(

there were only special USB ones found

The plain keyboard driver is a Windows driver and not supplied by IBM. There are Hotkey and Custom Keyboard add-on application drivers supplied by IBM. I also expect that any language dependencies for keyboards would come with the Windows version that you use.
