T21 Batteries

#1 Post by kengeo » Thu Feb 02, 2006 4:32 pm

I need to replace the battery on my T21, I have read in this forum that
a T30 battery will fit, is this true? as I have come across a couple of sites
that supply replacements [new 1yr g'tee] for around £50. the strange
thing is the T30 [20%more capacity] is £5. cheaper than the T21!! So if
I can be assured that the T30 one will fit with no problems I'll order one.
Thanks for any positive replies.

Yes, the T-30 battery fits a T-21 but make sure you have a 72 watt charger, some chargers are 56 watt and will not completely charge the T-30 battery.

The charger would be rated around 4.5 amps (as opposed to around 3.5 amps for the 56W charger).

Am I missing something?

W = V * A, 16 volts times 4.5 amps is 56 watts by my math.

Or am I overlooking something painfully obvious to the rest of you?

I'm not trying to stir things up, I have a T21 with a battery that won't hold a charge so I am looking for a replacement. My AC adapter's output is 16 volts at 4.5 amps...
