On Screen Display on the T30

#1 Post by WarMachine » Wed Jul 11, 2007 1:29 pm

Hello ! :)

I try to help a guy on a forum.

He wants to dowload the On Screen Display Utility for his T30, but nothing happens, when he installs it.

I gave him this link :

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-41987

And the one under "Display/Hotkey Utility" :

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-68000

In the 1st page, the utility seems to be compatible with T30, but in the 2nd, the T30 doesn't appear in the list of laptops.

The utility works fine on my T23.

I've only found this utility.

Is that the good one ?

Thx ! :)

Are you sure that he is following ALL of the steps? There have been a lot of people that download the file, and run it...BUT they don't follow through. Running the file that is downloaded simply unzips the files to the computer. They have to then go to the directory that it unzipped to, and run the setup file from there.

It is almost like a double installation.

Hello,

Thx for your answer. :)

I explained him how to do the installation, but nothing happens.

On screen display is unchecked upon installation.

Goto display properties, goto setting, click on advanced button.
Locate the on screen display tab and check enable on screen display.

Hello,

I didn't had to activate this option on my T23.

Nevertheless, I give the guy this information.

I hope it will resolve his problem.

Thx. :)
