I have a Thinkpad T61 6465CTO with two problems.
1) Some of the indicator lights inside, beneath the display do not work:
- Wifi: working
- Bluetooth: NOT working
- WWAN: NOT working
- Numlock: NOT working
- Capslock: working
- HDD: NOT working
- Power: NOT working
- Battery: NOT working
- AC Power: NOT working
- Standby: NOT working
2) When the computer is in standby / sleep from lid close, it will wake up when the unit is moved or shaken (even when gently disturbed). I know the lid sensor is magnetic, so I've tried sticking a strong magnet to it. In that case, it will sleep and will not wake until the magnet is removed, even when shaken violently. (it will not inappropriately turn while in hibernate or power off, ie. when opening the lid would not be expected to turn it on)
My question: How can I tell if the problem lies with the inverter card, the LCD cable assembly, or both?
Follow up question: If I do get a new inverter card, should I favor the Foxconn version of the TW Sumida version?
Thanks,
James
