boot linux from USB hard drive

#1 Post by jozien » Sun May 06, 2012 10:20 pm

I have a ThinkPad T60 laptop and have mepis 11
installed on a USB hard drive.
Tried to change bios to boot from USB hard droive, no success.
I can boot mepis 8.5 and 11 from a thumb drive.
How can I boot from a USB hard drive?

Check in BIOS under Startup/Boot.
Sometimes USB HDD has been put in "excluded from boot".
Check if your USB HD is recognized in that Start sequence or not.
