OSD
I'm new to this section of the community as my trusted T41 is now pending retirement. The reason was my upcoming birthday which gave me the opportunity to buy a 3 year old T60 with Win7 ultimate, Office etc. Beautiful maschine, startup time 1 minute - so I am very pleased and hope to avoid the GPU and USB problems occurring on the T40. But since the T60 is obvious a cleaned business item, none of the usual IBM/Lenovo functions are present - and none missed so fra apart from the Power Manager which I find most useful.
On my T40 and 41 I had On Screen Display for screen brigthness and sound level, but not so on the T60. I have looked at the Lenovo drivers and software downloads, but I do not seem to be able to find the OSD function?

Re: OSD
You need to install the power management driver, the system interface driver, and the hotkey utility.

My recommendation would be to install system update and let it find drivers and utilities for you.

Note: If you're running XP you'll need a version of the MS .Net installed first prior to installing System Update. Get it from the optional windows update section.

Hi Harry!
Thanks for constructive feedback. The Hotkey and Power Management are installed now, I don't seem to be able to find the "System Interface driver" ? Neither in the driver list or as a result of the Thinvantage Update function.

Re: OSD
According to the information at this link it's been incorporated into the Hotkey package.
