X22 - Adding an Ethernet Daughter Card (EDC)

#1 Post by answerer » Thu Jul 22, 2004 12:01 pm

I bought a X22 without built-in wireless or Ethernet (not sure what I was thinking). Since then, I've added a mini-pci modem/Ethernet combo card but I hate having the external wireless card.

I'm wondering if it's possible to buy a ethernet daughter card (ie 26P8181 http://electrolaptops.site.yahoo.net/26p8181.html) and then switch to a mini-pci wireless/modem combo card.

If so, where would the daughter card go? (I checked the service manual and there's no mention)

I have one of those sitting spare in a drawer right now :) stupid ebay impulse buys.

In the service manual, it shows the CDC as being just below the trackpoint.
