Using X6x Tablet without pen?

#1 Post by docbot » Fri May 18, 2012 6:57 am

Hey there,

I am owner of a old Thinkpad X32 which I love or used to love, since it's almost dead and pretty unusable. I am currently using a Macbook Pro, but since I perform music, I thought about getting one of the X6 series tablets to use for live play.

What I want to do is use Ableton Live (http://www.ableton.com/) with the X6x Tablet to trigger clips with my fingers. I am not too sure though if those slightly older tablets are made for this kind of stuff - that is controlling them with fingers instead of touchpens.

So I guess my question is how precise the X6x tablet touchscreens are when used with one fingers and if they maybe even support stuff like multitouch and what not.

thanks!

Only certain models of X6x tablets support finger touch. Lenovo calls them "multitouch", but they only support one finger touch. Other models support the digitizer pen only and not fingers.
